The Earth groans, the rocks worship, Ezekiel prophesies to the mountains and
valleys. What do these Scripture passages mean? Does the earth literally groan?
Does it really respond to the prophetic utterances of God's servants? Can any
part of creation besides human beings worship God? Can the ground we walk
on-the ground itself-be blessed or become defiled? Does the earth have a
purpose other than providing us with food and scenery?
God has given each of us a measure of faith. Romans 12:3 tells us that
we should think of ourselves with sober judgment, "each according to the
measure of faith God has assigned."
Out of all of God's creation only humans are capable of having faith. What
is faith?
